Becoming Jane: The Evolution of Dr. Jane Goodall
National Geographic Museum
Winner of both a Thea Award from the Themed Entertainment Association as well as American Alliance of Museums Excellence in Exhibition Award, this 6,400 square foot traveling exhibition celebrates the life, work, and legacy of Dr. Jane Goodall. In addition to archival images, artifacts and personal documents, the exhibit utilizes immersive media installations to bring visitors face to face with Jane as she tells her story and compels visitors to become advocates and agents of change themselves.
As Director of Exhibition Design I led an interdisciplinary team of in-house designers and collaborated with several media and scenic contractors to create the exhibit. Our team worked closely with The Jane Goodall Institute and Dr. Goodall herself to develop and review the exhibit narrative and to research and procure assets for the exhibition.
